Memphis, TX and other such towns

The speed limit in this town is actually relatively fast as far as these small Texas towns go; normally the speed limit is reduced to no more than 30 mph while within the city limits.  Also, this is also one of the larger cities, as most of them tend to range from a few hundred to barely more than a thousand.  There were no major stores, nor even a simple Wal-Mart.  Apart from a pair of gas stations and one or two fast food places, there was no possible reason why a person would want to stop here.  My advice for those on the road in rural areas: it's best to keep moving until you find a town with a population at least above five thousand.
