The poorly named Canadian River


I mention this river mostly because the name threw me for a loop when I first saw it, just as the town of Mephis did.  This is the most inaccurate sign I have seen on this entire trek.  The river is definitely not Canadian, unless the United States has recently annexed a certain northern country.  Also, the river is not actually a river.  There was not a single drop of water in either direction from the bridge.  If it were called the Great Texas Ditch, it would have been a far more descriptive name.
